One of my favorite things about Photoshop, is how versatile it is. You can do a lot, but you can also make something look really cool or change an image drastically without having to do something crazy or really complicated.
An example of this is the image above, I spent about 2 hours on it just messing around for fun. I made a brush for some designs on the image, used different filters on different images and played around with the opacity as well as erasing different parts of different images. I also played around with the curves.
You can use it to do some serious editing, some touch ups, even create images from scratch, and I love that you can create your own brushes. Because it can be used in so many different ways it’s a great hobby/pass time. You can do something in a short amount of time or spend days on a single image.
Help on the Internet
Another thing that I love about Photoshop is that there are thousands if not millions of tutorials. So if you feel like learning something new, you can always find a new project where you can learn a new skill or how to improve your use of a tool. If you ever get stuck on a project and don’t know how to proceed, Google it.
You can also find some awesome inspiration on the internet. Sometimes when I browse Pinterest I see a picture that makes me want to draw or it gives me an idea for a Photoshop project. It can be so refreshing to get a new idea and it’s so rewarding when you make a piece and are satisfied by how it turned out.
